Dominion Energy and the Library of Virginia celebrate the achievements of African Americans in our annual Strong Men & Strong Women in Virginia History Awards Program.
This program recognizes its 2023 honorees for their important contributions to Virginia, the nation, and/or their professions. Our extraordinary group of honorees have persevered in the face of sometimes daunting challenges to create better lives for themselves and all Americans. In addition to recognizing distinguished leaders within the African American community, this program also features a student creative expressions contest.
