At Dominion Energy, we are committed to providing safe, secure, and reliable energy to all our customers. The project proposes to construct a new overhead 230 kilovolt (kV) double circuit, 1.8 mile-long transmission line and a new substation in Stevensburg, VA.
The new transmission lines will run from an existing transmission line along Batna Road to the proposed Germanna Substation. The approved transmission line route can be viewed on our Maps page.
An application for this project was filed with the Virginia State Corporation Commission (SCC) in November 2023. The SCC issued its Final Order approving the project on August 7, 2024. Please see the legal page for the final approval document and additional details.
