A Line Project in Aiken County, SC
At Dominion Energy, we are dedicated to finding the best solution for the long-term energy needs within the communities we serve. As we remain focused on reliability and resiliency, we have identified a need for a new transmission line in Aiken County near the City of Wagener. New poles and equipment will provide more reliable and resilient power to the Wagener and Pelion areas.
Dominion Energy and its contractors will construct a new approximately 6.5-mile 115-kilovolt (kV) line on self-supporting galvanized steel poles. The new line will be designed to meet all modern electric codes as well as provide additional reliability to our customers.
Letters will be sent out to impacted property owners along the route as DESC progresses through its siting study, surveying, and construction.
